Question

Only Fill or suggest the correspondent OTP code for the chosen login/password

When a user has multiple logins for the same website, 1Password correctly fills in the password for the selected login. However, when it comes to One-Time Passwords (OTPs), 1Password displays codes for other accounts instead of the one associated with the chosen login.

Is this a bug, right? Don't think this is related to beta

Hello, @fernandog. Thank you for writing in.

It's expected that 1Password in the browser suggests all Login items with the same website URL in the two-factor authentication field.

In my testing, the problem I encountered was that the one-time password did not autofill on the third page. I've created an issue for our development team for further investigation.

In the meantime, may I ask if the one-time password auto-fills when choosing the correct Inline menu suggestion from below the field?

@1P_Evon
I beg to differ. It's the same as saying it would suggest two different passwords

OTP and passwords are "linked" to the account/login. There's no reason to suggest an OTP from account "B" If I choose to login with account "A"

Hello, @fernandog. Thank you for your reply. I see you've opened a ticket with us via email. I'll share my colleague's reply from the email if anyone else in the community would like to know the expected behaviour behind suggestions from 1Password in the browser:

OP and password are "linked" in an autofill session, but not the suggestion menu/list in the input field. The Password suggestion list is based on URL matching, for example, I can add the Instagram website to a Facebook login item, and then, it shows up in the login form suggestion list and also the OTP suggestion list.

I see that you've also replied to my colleague via email and they'll respond to your email as soon as possible. To prevent duplication of efforts, I'll close this thread.
