Open Quick Access keyboard shortcut conflicting with macOS's Reminders

Hi, thanks so much for the great app & service; 1Password has been helping me boost my productivity AND security!!

I've noticed a minor issue with its keyboard shortcut that I need help resolving:

Reminders has a keyboard shortcut to indent items (Command + ]), but when I try to use this while the app is active, the 1P Quick Access pops up.

The official Shift + Command + Space shortcut for Open Quick Access also works, and I don't see any reference to the Command + ] shortcut in the context of 1Password. I have not changed any keyboard shortcut settings on 1Password or macOS.

I want to use Command + ] for Reminders, not for Open Quick Access. Do you have any ideas on how to achieve this?

FYI...

  • Here's Apple's official reference to the Reminders keyboard shortcuts, although I seem to have access only to its Japanese version: https://support.apple.com/ja-jp/guide/reminders/remn19b3424c/mac
  • The shortcut for outdenting items on Reminders (Command + [) works as intended. Quick Access does not open up.
  • I use the Japanese keyboard (JIS) on my Macbook Pro Late 2023.

Hello @ttsukagoshi! 👋

I'm sorry that the wrong keyboard shortcut is opening Quick Access. It sounds like you're running into a known issue that our developers are investigating where certain keyboard layouts cause issues with the default keyboard shortcuts such as confusing CMD + ] with CMD + \

Changing the default keyboard shortcut for Autofill will allow you to workaround the issue for now:

  1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
  2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click General.
  5. Change the shortcut for "Autofill" to something else.

Let me know if that helps. 🙂

Hi @1P_Dave,

Your workaround worked; I've changed the Autofill shortcut and Cmd + ] is now working with Reminders as intended. Thank you!!!

BTY, I have set Autofill to Option + Cmd + F for Auto*F*ill because I couldn't think of anything else; I'll just change it to something else if any other conflict occurs.

Thank you again!
