Oracle specific password generation

Year is 2025 and Oracle is living in year 1900.

Is there a possibility to 1Password to adapt or more like add a database specific password generation function?

Below is the screen from Oracle 19C on SAP installation.

Hi @Naxterra,

Just to confirm I understand before I submit this feature request, are you wanting one of the options in 1Password to be that when a password is generated, it complies with the Oracle-specific restrictions?

Yes. I am aware that you can't add every website's or application's own password rule into 1Password's intelligent password generator but for starters you can add specific apps like Oracle? or maybe add an optional section to the logins, so that I can define the password rules?

@Naxterra

Thanks for the reply. 1Password's smart password generator is already able to detect and suggest compatible passwords for many websites: A smart(er) password generator

This applies if:

  1. You're using 1Password in the browser to generate a new password on the website in question.
  2. You're using the Smart Password option for the generator:

Are you generating the password using 1Password on an Oracle website? If you are then can you share the website URL? If you're entering the password in a location other than a website and using the desktop app to generate the password instead then let me know.
