Passkey auto-login

Question

Is anyone else annoyed by having to click on the 1password dialog in order to log in with a passkey?

I would love the option to just have 1password automatically sign in with the passkey if there is only one matching login/passkey for the current site. That extra step seemingly serves no purpose.

Obviously when there are multiple matching logins, or 1password is currently locked then the user needs prompting. However, when I've already unlocked 1password and there is only one possible login for a site... why require me to again click the button after I've already clicked the login button?

Hi @dgkimpton, thanks for sharing this feedback.

For my use of passkeys, I think I would enjoy the auto sign in behavior you described. I would be very curious to hear if others in the Community would prefer this as well, or if people here benefit from the current behavior.

While I can't say if this will be added to 1Password, I've gone ahead and shared your comments with the team.

It's not quite as seamless as the auto sign in you described, but I just wanted to mention that you can hit enter on your keyboard instead of clicking the passkey prompt.
