However, the login process with ultimately fail, stating that "There was a problem signing in with your passkey. However, the same key works for logging in through the app.

Hi @chunheisiu thanks for reaching out!

I'm sorry you're having issues signing in using your passkey on the Cathay Pacific site.

I did some testing on my end and found I had no issues signing in using a passkey. I have some questions to help me better understand what's going wrong and so I can provide the best advice moving forward.

  • Can you confirm the URL of the page where you're having issues?
  • Can you confirm what browser you're using as well as what version?
  • Can you confirm the version of your 1Password browser extension? You can find the version number by right-clicking the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, choosing Settings > About.
  • Are you signing in using a phone number, your email, or a membership number?

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello Chris,

I tried logging out and logging back in through their app and was prompted to “upgrade” my passkey. After that, the new passkey works fine on both the app and web.
