Passkey - iOS and iPadOS parity

I was just wondering if I’ve skipped a step at one point.

Google with the beta lets me use passkeys with no issues. However attempting the same on the iPad just gives me the QR code to scan.

Both units are running the same beta version, so I was wondering if there was a difference as one is iPadOS?

Or do I need to create a passkey per device through 1Password?
