Passkey registration fails on Salesforce

When attempting to register a passkey on Salesforce (Developer Edition), registration fails.
This might be a Salesforce issue or a 1Password issue.

Conditions:
- Salesforce (Developer Edition)
- 1Password for macOS, using the 1Password extension in Brave

Flow
1. Click the Register link in Salesforce "Advanced User Details -> Security Key (U2F or WebAuthn)"

2. Click Register

3. Registration succeeds on the 1Password side, but the Salesforce side shows an unhelpful red "undefined"

4. Browser dev tools console show output below

Hey @1P_Blake

Is this the right place for bug reports? If not can you direct me to the right place?

Thanks!

Hello @jefflaporte! 👋

I'm sorry that we missed your post when it was first posted. This is the correct place to report bugs, or you can always reach our support team directly by sending an email to support@1Password.com

I understand that you're running into an issue with passkeys on Salesforce. It doesn't look like Salesforce currently supports passkeys for authentication, they only seem to support hardware security keys for MFA:

I don't recommend that you save a passkey in lieu of a hardware security key for MFA since that can cause issues. Because security keys and passkeys use similar webauthn technology, 1Password may offer to save a passkey when you're prompted to insert a hardware security key. In those cases, you can dismiss the 1Password prompt to use your hardware security key instead:

That being said, our developers are tracking customers who run into issues on Salesforce with 1Password's passkey feature and I've added you to that internal tracking list. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
