Question

Passkey WebAuthn Signal API

Is the 1Password team planning on implementing the WebAuthn Signal API? See here:

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/wiki/Explainer:-WebAuthn-Signal-API-explainer

The issue without this is that a user might delete their passkey from our site, and not in the 1Password manager. With this feature, we can tell the browser if a user has deleted a passkey, so the manager can delete it. This prevents future login attempts that fail because the passkey is present in the manager but not on our server.

Hello @b-taxhawk! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! I've shared your comment with the team internally so that they're aware that the Signal API is something that you'd like to see supported. I'll update this thread if I have any other information to share in the future.

I appreciate the feedback!

Any progress on this? Noting that on iOS 26+, the ASCredentialUpdater API doesn't appear to be respected by 1Password yet. Hoping to see support for this since it's supported in iCloud Keychain. Thanks for listening.
