Passkeys on 1Password for Android
Since Android 14 is reportedly installed on only 25% of devices worldwide, I wonder if the remaining 75% of us will have to buy new phones and tablets with the upgraded OS installed. I changed my authentication on one of my accounts to a passkey and was delighted to see how smoothly login went from my laptop running Windows. Then I tried logging in from my phone and discovered that my Android version was too outdated and, thanks to Google's policy, no longer updatable. Luckily, that vendor has kept the option of log in using either passkey or password. Hopefully, the optional login will remain across the board for some time, but should that change, will 1Password users be stuck buying new Android devices?
I'm running Android 12 and 1Password 8.10.36. I'm using the 1Password app not the Chrome extension.
