PayPal iOS App 2FA Code isn't suggested after logging in with Passkey

There are a couple of possibilities here.

You may need to disable Face ID for the app. 1Password is not involved in granting access Face ID is. You might have the passkey saved in iCloud vs 1Password? The reason you need to switch it off is so you can allow 1Password to fill in your details and then offer a 2FA code. This behavior is usually experienced by folks not using a passkey. Based on your description I do not think it applies in your situation and you'll be covered by the next one.

If the passkey is part of 1Password, turn on the option for notification of one-time passwords copied to the clipboard and then paste the code into the field.

1Password > Settings > Notifications.

That works.

I didn't know about the notification and didn't expect that I have to disable FaceID.

By the way, one-time passwords a copied in the clipboard als if notification is disabled, but the notification helps to remember that it is.

Can I deactivate the macOS question for the passkey somewhere? I have already deactivated the question for passwords because I have saved the passkey in 1Password after all

Thanks for reaching out. Do you mean that you'd like to turn off the macOS prompt for passkeys so that it doesn't interfere with 1Password? You can do so by following these steps:

1. On your Mac, click on the  in the menu bar and then click System Settings.
2. Click Passwords.
3. Click Password Options.
4. Turn off "AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys".
5. Make sure that 1Password is set as the default password manager in your browser: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser
