Question

Please stop activating passkeys after every update! I don't want it.

Hi,

it would be nice that you don't change settings of the extensions with nearly every update. The last browser extension updates 'enabled' passkeys again! I don't want to use them. I did 'again' disabled them and really hope the next update don't bring them back!

Why on earth are you changing those settings?

Hello @dragon1! 👋

I'm sorry that your settings for passkeys are being changed, that definitely doesn't sound right. So that I can better understand the situation, can you tell me the following:

  1. Which version of 1Password in the browser are you using? And which browser and operating system are you using?
  2. Can you post a screenshot of the specific setting that is being reset?
  3. Have you recently cleared your browser's history/cache?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi @1P_Dave

  1. I'm using actual versions (81044034, STABLE).
  2. All settings are being reset to default when clearing cookies and so on
  3. yes - I did!

Everytime I need to disable those stupid passkey settings again and again (and for my family). Would be nice if it would somehow sync with my 'profile' at all or in any other way?

I don't want passkeys, I don't want all those passkey popups and I don't want to disable it again and again.

@dragon1

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to ask one other question: which browser are you using? Are you using Safari or a different browser?
