preferred way of documenting "Sign in With" Providers that are not currently supported?

As I understand it, currently only certain providers are supported as options for "Sign in With". This is understandable. However, I am interested in merely documenting that I use a given service to sign in to a website. It doesn't need to automatically fill the credentials for the supporting service, or even suggest them necessarily in the browser, but I want to be able to search in the 1Password app for the website name or company name and have it noted somewhere that I am using a "Sign In With" provider (I think they're called SSO?) to sign in to a given website.

The idea is I would like to be able to document this with a minimal amount of effort, and I don't like the idea of creating a login for a site with the e-mail of the SSO provider and no password, which is what I'm currently doing).

Recently, I think I've seen recommendations to add the sites using the SSO provider as additional websites under the parent SSO's entry. Is that the best way to do it? Ideally, I would like to create an entry in 1Password that would be searchable on the company name and website. Would a Secure Note be a good candidate? I would ideally like some of this information to be searchable from the 1password iOS app.

I understand that you'd like to find a way to search specific items in 1Password. I'd suggest organizing the items with tags. Here's more information on that -> https://support.1password.com/favorites-tags/.

Thanks for your reply. Tags are a decent idea. I was wondering if there is a way to just enter an item as a login, but with no password field. For example, if you wanted to document that you signed up to a website with a given e-mail address but you don't have an account on the site.

I know you can leave the password field blank but I don't like the behavior where it offers to auto-fill on a site where there is no password. Is there another item type that might be more appropriate than a new login?

If you prefer not to see the Login item for autofill, I can suggest adding a custom URL field and saving the website address there.

Open and unlock 1Password.
Locate the Login item or create a new Login item
Click "+ add more" and select "URL".
Copy the website address into the custom URL field and delete the "website" field. Click "Save".
