Press option to show password not always working

In the Mac app of 1P there is an option in the settings under security, that allows to show passwords when pressing the option-key.
However, this feature only works for some time. When it stops working, I have to go to the prefs and deactivate and reactivate it. Then it works again for a while.
My colleague has the same issue.
