Problem with Chrome Browser Extension

1) I just had to reinstall my Chrome Browser and subsequently add the 1P extension again. Now I can not use my fingerprint to open 1P in the Chrome browser. How do I do so? Tried to look at Firefox and then duplicate the settings in Chrome but it is all different.

2) Also - when I quit Chrome, it requires me to enter my password to unlock 1P the next time I open it - even though I have already opened 1P on my MAC toolbar - this does not happen with Firefox.

Confused!

See the attached screen shots which show the differences between what I see in Firefox and Chrome (note-I use Safari for most things and only use Chrome when I am forced to).

1Password Version: 8.10.3.0
Extension Version: 2.22.1
OS Version: OS14.4.1
Browser: Chrome

Hello @BenBob! 👋

I'm sorry to hear that 1Password isn't working properly with your browser. It sounds like communication between the 1Password extension in your browser and the 1Password for Mac app has broken down. To fix this please do the following:

  1. Close all open web browsers.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
  3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
  4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if that fixes the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
