Prompt to input password before using Windows Hello despite setting to Never ask

I have my Security settings on Windows 11 below all checked:
"Unlock using Windows Hello"
"Show Windows Hello prompt automatically"
"Use the Trusted Platform Module with Windows Hello"

And then "Require password" set to "Never"

However every time I turn on my computer (even after sleep) I have to enter my password before using Windows Hello.

Am I missing something here? I've verified I have TPM 2.0 (which is why I can select Never), and all settings on the Windows app are as above. I also randomly had to enter my password on my Android app after making these changes, they defaulted to password input and had to manually change it back to biometrics.

Can't imagine a less secure thing than having to key in a password when my biometrics are unique. Instead I now just go into my Chrome app, use Windows Hello to copy my 1Password password and paste it in. So I'm still using Windows Hello to login, but with an added step of getting the password (copy + paste... not super secure on the clipboard I'm sure) instead of just using the security feature.

Hello @purchaga,

I'm sorry for the troubles you are experiencing with requiring your account password. After restarting your device or waking it. The TPM setting you mentioned should be helping here.

I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Windows PC:

Sending Diagnostics Reports (Windows)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

With your email please include:

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number.  Please post that number here.  Thanks!

Thanks Mike, I sent the support email a short while ago but haven't received an automated reply yet. Might be delayed but I'll respond with it once it's received.

@purchaga

We've received your diagnostics report, and one of the team will reply to your email as soon as they can. :)

Thanks Grey, I still haven't received the autoresponse so I'm glad you got it :) Quick update that after some "turn it off and back on again" restarting, and disc checking, it's working via Chrome, but not Edge extension for some reason...

@purchaga

It looks like you and my colleague are now discussing the issue over email and we're waiting for you to send in a new diagnostics report so that we can help further.

Please continue the conversation over email. To prevent having the same discussion in two places at once I'm closing this thread.
