Question

QR code not working on CalPERS website

CalPERS site requested re-enable authenticator apps, but 1Password macOS app would/couldn't scan the QR code from the CalPERS website in Safari on macOS Sonoma 14.5. Note, no problem do it on iOS 17.5 (21F79).

I tried to attach the Console info, but it would accept the format. So, I attached a screenshot.

1Password Version: 8.10.32
Extension Version: 2.23.1
OS Version: macOS 14.5 (23F79)
Browser: Safari

@r8ders2k

Did you manage to setup the feature using the Show Secret Key on the CalPERS site? You'd copy it (Site Key) and paste it into the OTP password field in 1Password for Mac. Additionally, there are some improvements in the pipeline with regard to scanning. I can't say they'll fix everything but they may prove helpful. To the best of my knowledge they are in the nightly or should be very soon. Beta would be next and finally production.

I tried yesterday, but it didn't seem to work. But I just tried it again and Secret Key worked.

Sounds good! Please let us know if you experience any other trouble. I hope we can get those improvements out sooner rather than later.
