Question about lock after idle

Aside from the Autofill feature, 1Password runs in the background and provides useful features like Quick Access that would be more inconvenient to use if you had to unlock the app every single time that you used it. Can you tell me a little more about why you'd like to be prompted to unlock 1Password each time that you use it? Why not just lock the entire device in those circumstances using a shortcut like Windows + L?

Thanks for your response! I understand the balance between convenience and security, but for me, security is the priority. Bitwarden, for example, offers an option to lock the vault immediately after autofill, which I find valuable. Unlocking the vault again only takes me about two seconds, so the added step doesn’t feel inconvenient.

If convenience were my main concern, I’d simply rely on the browser’s password manager for autofill. However, I prefer ensuring that my vault remains as secure as possible. I believe an option to lock immediately after autofill would be a great addition for users like me who prioritize security over convenience.

I want to clairfy my point.

Locking the entire computer (Windows + L) doesn’t really solve the issue. I just want the vault to lock after autofill, not the whole device. Locking the computer every time I fill in a password would be inconvenient and unnecessary.

My goal is to secure the vault as quickly as possible without disrupting other tasks. Locking the vault immediately after autofill is a simple step that ensures security without interrupting my workflow.
