Question about renewing account

Hello, Sorry to ask this here but when I tried to talk with the help bot it wasn't very helpful.  So trying here.  

My account with 1password is coming due soon and I wanted to be sure it is renewed.  I just went into my account to remove an old card that was no longer valid and put in a new one for payment.  I was trying to find a way I could renew now a few weeks early.  I'm not sure if this is possible or will my account automatically renew when it expires?  

The bot told me just to sign in and click on billing then click on subscribe but I never saw a subscribe link.  This is my first year using the app/site so renewing is still a bit confusing since I don't know what will happen.  I've been using 1pass for years before this but not the one tied to this site.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Totally fine to ask about this here! If you've removed the old payment method, then added and selected the new payment method as your default payment method, your renewal will go through automatically with no lapse in service. Thank you for your help to ease my mind.  I guess I might receive a email as the due date is getting closer also but not sure.  All is ok now though that I know for the future and years ahead.

For direct billing through our website, an email reminder of an upcoming subscription payment will be sent out automatically ahead of the renewal date. You can check the billing date in the Billing section when you sign into your account on the 1Password website if you subscribe directly.
