Quick Access Not Working

So I am on 1Password for Mac 8.10.70 (81070026) and Quick Access which I have set to open via Shift + Cmd + Space is just not working at all. It was working previously, maybe last build? but not anymore. I am on MacOS Sequoia 15.4.

If you are referring to AutoFill on websites/forms using 1Password for Safari, mine is also now broken.. Has worked fine for years but it stopped working correctly after either the Sequoia 15.4 update, or the last 1Password for Safari update, not sure which.

That sounds like autofill. I am talking about Quick Access. Its a command that is used to quickly display a mini search interface in 1password upon which the item you select is shown in the main 1Password interface.

Thanks for the clarification.. Yes, two different things.. Autofill is also intermittently broken.

Hello @donileo! 👋

I'm sorry that Quick Access isn't working on your Mac. I'm not able to reproduce the issue here on my end, can you check to make sure that your Quick Access keyboard shortcut hasn't been changed? Follow these steps:

  1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
  2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Check to make sure that Quick Access is still set to Shift-Command-Spacebar under Keyboard Shortcuts.


If it's already properly set, can you restart your Mac to see if that gets things working? Let me know if you still see the issue.

Hi @1P_Dave. Yes under 1Password Settings Quick Access is set to Shift-Command-Spacebar. Restarting my mac does not resolve the issue. I killed as many apps as possible on my mac as well and still not working.

Thank for the reply. If you temporarily set the shortcut to something else then are you able to use the new shortcut to open Quick Access? If you can then it is possible that another app might be using Shift-Command-Spacebar and conflicting with 1Password? 

You can try to rule out other apps by booting into Safe Mode (where most third-party apps won't load) and opening 1Password. Then try to use Shift-Command-Spacebar there: Start up your Mac in safe mode

Let me know how that goes.
