Ranked passwords per user

I have a family plan and almost all passwords are shared. On some sites, my wife and I both have credentials. What I need to do is rank/sort the credentials that are being provided. If I'm logged in, I'd like the default to be my credential. If she's logged in, I'd like the default to be hers. There doesn't seem to be way to do this without making one of them private.

It seems to be more of an issue on iOS than other platforms.

Hello @ewilts! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! I recommend that you and your wife keep your credentials in separate vaults. You can choose to keep those credentials in your respective Private vaults, or you can create new vaults that you share with each other like this:

  • ewilts' logins
  • ewilts' wife's logins

You can find information about creating/sharing vaults and moving items here:

Once the items are in separate vaults, you can turn choose which vaults 1Password suggests items from when using AutoFill on iOS:

  1. Open and unlock 1Password.
  2. Create a new collection that only contains vaults with your login credentials: Use collections to create custom groups of vaults
  3. Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings. (If you’re using an iPad, tap your account or collection at the top of the sidebar.)
  4. Tap AutoFill.
  5. Tap "Show filling suggestions from" and choose the collection that only contains your logins.

I hope that helps. 🙂
