RBC Direct Login fails
I have used RBC Direct for years, successfully using 1P. Recently, when I try to login, 1P fills the fields correctly and then attempts to "Enter" or "Sign In". Unfortunately, this creates an error in the RBC Direct login, with the error message "! Something doesn't seem right." "Error: We are experiencing temporary problems. Please try again later.".
This behaviour started to occur in the last few weeks? (It was definitely OK in April, and definitely not working on June 29.)
I thought it must be improper credentials, so contacted RBC Direct. We went through a password reset and temporary password, then updated with new suggested 1P password. I made sure the login was updated. Then tried to login again, and same problem.
Later, I guessed that it might be 1P's behaviour that was the issue, and not the credentials. I manually copied the "client card" and the "password separately and pasted them into the login screen, and clicked on "Sign in" and the login worked fine.
I deduce that something 1P does after it enters the credentials is causing the login to fail. I have tested the login with Chrome, and it fills the credentials, I press "Sign in" and it works OK. So, it may be just Safari on macOS that is experiencing the problem.
