Renaming a root tag doesn't affect its subtags. The only way is to rename all subtags.

Thank you, Dave! I manage 2600 items, 300 tags/subtags, and 5 vaults on 1Pwd 8 Windows-macOS-iOS-iPadOS-Android so it's frequent to notice new issues (I currently have a list of 10). For privacy/efficiency purposes, can issues reports be sent directly to the developers' team, including screen recordings?

You can send bug reports that you don't want posted on the public forum to support@1Password.com where our support team will take a look and file issues as needed with our development team.

If you do send screenshots or screen recordings please make sure that they don't include any private or sensitive information.
