Request for a powerful pasword generator.

Thanks for reaching out. 1Password deliberately doesn't include an option to set the number of symbols because it reduces the strength, randomness, and usability of generated passwords. 1Password does include a smart password generator in the browser extension which attempts to use the requirements that websites, including banks, impose on passwords in order to generate the most secure and compatible password possible: A smart(er) password generator | 1Password

You can find the smart password generator here:

1. Navigate to the password change page of the website in question.
2. Click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
3. Click the Menu button and then click Password Generator.
4. Choose Type: Smart Password and click Autofill to fill the generated password onto the page.

And, if you enable the "Use as default for suggestions", then 1Password in the browser will automatically generate smart password right on the page:

I have submit my banks login form details in past with support.
Apparently, the smart password generator, couldn't fetch required criteria. There is just not one bank, but lot of banks and finance related sites.
i really struggle with password changes, when i am on android phone.

Plus one for this request. Even some banks in the UK and India have these kind of restrictions. Where only few special characters are allowed and also repetition of no more than2.

I had to then use Roboform's Password Generator where it does allow me to provide the special chars I need and also "exclude similar characters".(definitely I checked the password strength and it was in trillion years)

I believe this gives more flexibility in terms of password choice.

There are many features and on name of security they are put incorporated.
Members are requesting to give end-fees the choice on keeping those features enabled or disabled.

If in case, i am always carrying my 1password credentials with me or someone gets access to same.
Can 1password protect my information? Or find if someone else is logging (of same isp) They may, but still they will give access to information.

Similarly, give end users options, let them decide what to do further.

There are many features which can make 1password more powerful.
