Safari crash when using MacOS 27 and form contains "Confirm Password"

I am on MacOS 27 and using the latest beta 1password + test flight extension (this issue happens with latest prod version too).

If I am trying to create a new account and I have already created the user/pass, when I using the new universal access feature, I see it suggest the account that I have an account for, I select to paste it and then safari crashes. This only seems to happen where the form has both a password + confirm password field. This should be fairly easy to reproduce.

I have the Safari crash report if you want a copy, please DM or email me and I'll send it to you.

Hi @thebruge, thanks for posting!

To confirm my understanding, is this happening with every website that has this particular account creation form setup, or only specific websites? If it’s only specific websites, could you share an example so I can do some testing on my end?

If you’d prefer not to share this on a public forum, you can email it in to support@1password.com, along with a link to this thread, and your forum username.

Thanks for the response, it’s happened a couple of times, one site that I can’t share as it requires and invite code, but I can also replicate it on this test form page:

https://practice.expandtesting.com/register

Create a user/pass for this page then submit:

Immediately on submission the page will crash. Let me know your thoughts.

Hi @thebruge, thanks for this example! I’ve done some testing on my end, but so far I’ve not been able to reproduce the crash.

Could you let me know your exact macOS and 1Password versions?
