Safari crashing when using 1Password

1Password 8 requires "Keep in menu bar" to stay running. I know there have been some requests posted about this already. And I've got another related bug:

If you close both the menu bar icon and the main 1Password app, attempting to unlock 1Password from the Safari extension will crashes Safari.
(operation: by clicking either of the arrows highlighted in the image below.)

Hello @eno! 👋

I'm sorry that Safari is crashing on your Mac. I've tried to reproduce the issue on my end but if I completely close the 1Password for Mac desktop app and then click on the "Unlock 1Password" button then 1Password for Safari will launch the desktop app as expected if app integration is turned on. I don't see Safari crashing.

When you say that Safari crashes, do you mean that you receive a crash report? Can you post a screenshot of the message that you see on your screen after Safari crashes? And does this happen on every website? Or just a specific website?

Can you also tell me which version of 1Password for Safari, 1Password for Mac, and macOS you're currently using?

I use multiple vaults with different accounts. After updating to Mac version 8.10.48 (with extension for Safari version 8.10.46), 1Password is unusable and causes a fatal web browser crash upon any attempt to sign in to the second account. Unlocking the first account still works normally in the browser, but no other accounts are accessible due to this bug.

I think it may be similar/related to the issue described in https://1password.community/discussion/148700/1password-menu-bar-problem-and-extension-unlock-bug#latest.
