Safari Extension all of a sudden stopped working properly

Everything was fine yesterday with Safari and the 1Password extension but today when I started 1Password by clicking  the icon and logged in my password, the window that popped up is empty.  I can't get anything to show up.  But if I open settings from the menu in the window the original popped up window begins to show all my passwords.

This is new today.  Any idea why this would happen?  Incidentally if I close the settings window, the popped up window stops functioning again and goes blank.

This is new and nothing has changed on my system that I know about.  I certainly haven't touched any settings.

Anyone have this happening and does any 1Password moderator have any ideas what could be going on?

I restarted Safari a number of times and even uninstalled the extension and re-downloaded and installed it......but the same behavior exists
