Question

Safari Interference and 1P generated passwords lost

So, I am having a real problem with 1P and Safari's auto-creation of passwords: Safari pops up with a suggested password, but I want to either create it in 1P or remember it in 1P, so I choose the 1P icon in the password field and generate my own, BUT 1P doesn't remember it or update the password in case of a reset. I can't find the history of the generated passwords to be able to update my logins. VERY Frustrasting. Or I go with the Safari suggested password and 1P doesn't seem to remember it or ask to update a reset. Safari asks to update, but not 1P

Hi @jefferis,

I'm sorry for the trouble you are having generating and saving passwords. I think it would be a good start to disable Safari's built in password manager and then we can look to make sure things are working as they should be in 1Password without interference. Here's how: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser.

You may also find this guide useful on saving and updating passwords: Use the password generator to change and strengthen your passwords.

I hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
