Question

Search Username during Autofill?

For instance in some apps like Reddit, Instagram, one may have multiple user names--especially if you're helping organizations run social media accounts on top of personal accounts.

It would be useful to be able to search by username to quickly identify the login you want to autofill with. In the desktop extension of 1Password whether Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc you can type in the first few letters of a username when autofilling which makes the task so much easier

This is a major point of inconsistency between the mobile apps and desktop experience.

Hello @techtroubles101! 👋

Thank you for the feedback. At the moment, the more restricted view that opens with you fill a login using Password AutoFill on the iPhone and iPad (and Android) will only search through item titles and not usernames. I've let the team know that you'd like to see this search expanded to other fields in the future.

For the time being, have you considered using collections to organize your logins? Then you can choose the collection that you need at a particular time when using Password AutoFill? You can read more about collections here:

Alternatively, you could put a reference to the username into the title of the different login items to help you search for them more effectively. 🙂
