settings keep resetting on work computer

Question

I have 1password on my Mac Studio 2023 at work. My settings keep getting reset to default. Some of my settings: how long idle before auto locking, don't offer to save passkeys or save "sign-in with" logins, new items get saved in where, what vaults I don't want available on my work computer, etc. It can be difficult to remember which setting makes which unwanted behavior stop, so I'd like for the 1pw extension to keep my settings as they are unless I change them.

Any idea why it keeps resetting?

Hello @KazuT! 👋I'm sorry that your settings are being reset. Can you share what browser you're using on your Mac? Are the settings only being reset in the browser? Or in the desktop app as well? In general, settings won't be reset unless something is clearing 1Password's support files where those settings are stored. In certain browsers (like Safari) clearing your browser history will also clear the settings and preferences set for your extensions. In other browsers, you might want to look to see if you have an app cleaner or other software that is clearing extension support files. I look forward to hearing from you.-Dave
