Show Favorites page on launch?

It is possible to have the Favorites page selected when the desktop app is first launched after an OS reboot?

Currently, when I first launch the desktop app after a reboot, the Personal vault is the selected page.  I'd like the Favorites page to be the initial selected page.

Thanks.

Hello @fishnet37222! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! The 1Password app will open to the last screen that you had open before you closed the app. So if you're viewing your favorites and you close 1Password and restart your device, then 1Password will re-open to your favorites.

If you'd like to quickly view your favorites, you might consider using Quick Access:

  1. Open Quick Access on your device using the appropriate keyboard shortcut: Get to know Quick Access
  2. Type in =favorite to see all of your favorites.

That being said, I'll let the team know that you'd like to see an option to always have the 1Password app open to favorites. Thank you for the feedback.

Sorry, but that's not the case currently. It opens with Employee view which I always change to Favorites. So I'm 100% sure that this view is open when 1PW closes.

Thank you for the reply. Can you try the following steps:

  1. Open and unlock the 1Password for Windows desktop app.
  2. Click Favorites in the sidebar.
  3. Right-click on the 1Password icon in the Windows taskbar in the bottom and click Quit.
  4. Re-open and unlock 1Password for Windows.

Do you see the app open to your Favorites? Or to your Employer vault?

The issue doesn't happen consistently. Lately not so often, so after doing what you asked for opened Favorites as expected.
I'm currently using 1Password for Windows 8.10.74 (81074019)

@fstorch

Thank you for the reply. Are you able to provide more detail on how you're closing and opening 1Password when the issue does occur? Does a certain amount of time have to pass before 1Password forgets that you were on Favorites? Are you letting 1Password auto-lock by itself before you restart or close the app?

Any additional information that you can provide will help me to reproduce the issue on my end.

I'm pretty sure that the issue happens only when the Laptop is booted but not every time.
Yesterday it happened again. Today it didn't. And there was no difference in shutdown/turn on.

When I end 1PW manually and restart it, I don't seem to have an issue.
