Sign in Automatically is disabled, but 1P still signs in automatically

Sign in Automatically is disabled, but 1P still signs in automatically. Here are my addon settings

I tested on my self-hosted wiki and when signing in on these forums. It still fills and submits the login form when I click on "autofill" on the browser addon icon.

  • 1Password  Browser Addon Version: 8.12.1.3
  • Browser Version: Firefox:  147.0.3
  • 1Password Desktop for Mac Version:  8.11.22

I've checked for updates and rebooted my computer. No change.

Ideas?

Hello @komrad! 👋

I suspect that you're running into a known issue that our development team is aware of where "Sign in automatically after autofill" appears to be off but is still on because it was on prior to you turning off "Offer to save and fill logins and other items". Can you try these steps to workaround the issue:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
  3. Click Autofill & save.
  4. Temporarily turn on "Offer to save and fill logins and other items".
  5. Turn off "Sign in automatically after autofill".
  6. Turn off "Offer to save and fill logins and other items".

Let me know if that helps.
