Question

Since upgrading to macOS 26.6 beta 5 1Password no longer autofills anything

I am running 1Password 8.12.26 with Safari 26.6 (21624.4.5.11.3) under macOS Tahoe 26.6 beta 5 (25G5065a). Under 26.6 beta 4 everything was working just fine but since updating my Mac to 26.6 beta 5 1Password no longer autofills anything. It does not offer autofills for fields in the browser and if I click the Safari taskbar 1Password icon it opens 1Password to the correct entry but if I click on ‘Autofill’ there nothing happens. I have restarted the Mac several times since the update but it just isn't working.

Is this a known issue? If so is there a fix?

Interestingly autofill still works in the Orion browser, which uses a different 1Password extension (the Chrome one). Maybe the issue is with the 1Password for Safari app?

Hi @ChrisJenkins, I’m sorry to hear that autofill is no longer working in Safari after updating to macOS 26.6 beta 5.

I personally haven’t come across any reports of this yet, and I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report so our support team can investigate further: Send a diagnostics report (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to: support@1password.com

@1P_Gem Thank you, it’s not that urgent.

I’ve just updated to macOS 26.6 RC (25G70) and 1Password works fine again in Safari.

Hi @tbabut, thanks for letting us know that all is working again after updating to macOS 26.6 RC (25G70)! I’ve added this detail to the issue on file to aid our developers in their investigation.

I can also confirm that after upgrading to macOS 26.6 RC 1Password for Safari now autofills things again. So looks like it was perhaps a macOS issue after all.

Hi @ChrisJenkins, thanks for confirming that updating to macOS 26.6 RC resolved the issue for you as well! It does sound likely that this was a macOS issue. I’ve let our developers know.
