Question

SSH Bookmarks - sort, filter

While this could be relate to 1P@home or 1P@work or Developer - I'll post it here as there already are a couple of related topics.

SSH Bookmarks is a lovely idea and saves me from fiddling with ssh config files. But to make it usable, one should be able to sort the bookmarks, at least by hostname (part right of the @) and (not or;-) maybe using a custom order (favorites). Also it would be wonderful to be able to filter the list by username (left of the @), e.g. show me only bookmarks where username is root.

Kind regards

Hi @CarOli 👋

I've gone ahead and filed your request!

I know it's not as seamless, but have you tried using tags to achieve some of this? Just as a for instance, tag all items with the username root so that then you can find them easily? Thought it might be helpful for the short-term!

Hi SimonH,

thank you for the first aid kit ;-), but the username filter is only a thing that came to my mind thinking about scaling bookmarks. I am not really affected, having 20 or so hosts and each one with only one entry / one username in the bookmark list.
