Strange Windows hello issue suddenly

I use windows 11 and latest version of 1password. Until recently, when win 11 started, I could click on 1 password icon in the taskbar and the windows hello poped up for me to login with my finger print.

Suddenly now, when win 11 starts, I get 1password loging box for password to sign in. However, if I click on the hello icon in that same box, I can login with my finger print and not sign in with my password.Why is the 1password sign in going straight to hello sign in box?

I'm sorry that you're seeing different behaviour on your Windows PC from what you saw before. I'm not seeing the same behaviour on my end. Here's what I'm doing:

Lock 1Password for Windows.
Close the main window of the 1Password app.
Click the 1Password icon in the system tray.

The 1Password app window opens and the Windows Hello prompt appear automatically. Can you tell me if you're following different steps?

Hi Dave

I was having problems when it started with Windows (being in the Tray). I stopped it starting with Windows and have an icon on the desktop. It works in this situation.
