Question

Submit automatically with Universal Autofill - which one is this, autofill or autofill and submit?

I don't use auto-submit because it doesn't check "remember" box.

This is ambiguous and I don't know what to do about it. It sounds like submit when auto-fill.

Autofill
Submit automatically with Universal Autofill
Fill and submit the forms in apps and browsers on your Mac.
About Universal Autofill

But then in subtitle text, it says "fill and submit," like it means in general? And there's "about autofill" as if it's all about auto-fill in general. Which one is this? Both?

I'm not sure because how it's going to submit forms in apps? On the web, you can detect forms in HTML, does it detect forms in apps?

There should be two options, one is for autofill, another for submit.

Hello @DeppHeard! 👋

I'm sorry for the confusion. The "Submit automatically with Universal Autofill" setting allows you to manage whether 1Password submits forms automatically after you choose to fill them with the Command-Backslash shortcut.

Turning that option off will turn off autosubmit but it won't turn off the filling feature of Universal Autofill. Filling will continue to work as long as you've set it up: Use Universal Autofill in apps and browsers on your Mac

Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
