The old two computer question

The cleanest solution is to use two separate 1Password accounts. If you already have 1Password Families and you have less than 5 users, you can do this for no additional charge.

Could you tell me a bit more about what you mean by this?

I want the two 1Password vaults (?) to be mutually exclusive for security reasons

What security reasons do you have in mind? Everything in 1Password is end-to-end encrypted, so I'm keen to understand what threat (or potential threat) you're trying to mitigate against.

The idea is to harden ensure that if the Windows computer 1Password was compromised in any way, there would not be an security threat to the Mac. Also, on the Mac, I only want to manage a subset of the many passwords I have on the windows machine. Thanks for reply.

Thanks for the clarification. As rootzero mentioned, creating two different family members accounts for yourself as part of a 1Password Families membership would allow you to keep two completely separate accounts: Add and remove family members

In general, I recommend only using 1Password on devices that you trust and know are safe. It's also important to avoid downloading apps and files that come from unknown sources and to make sure that security features like Windows Defender are turned on.
