The search panel causes 1PW to become unresponsive when unlocking on MacBook Pro

Since linking my Apple Watch to my macbook pro, if 1PW is locked, the new search panel doesn't show when invoked. I see this on two separate machines.

Do you have Keep 1Password in the menu bar enabled in 1Password > Preferences > General - Keep 1Password in the menu bar ? If not, please enable it and try again.

Yes it's always been enabled.
