Touch ID does not work with Sequoia

I'm sorry that Touch ID isn't working to unlock 1Password on your Mac. Just to clarify, are you still able to unlock the Mac itself using Touch ID? If you are then try these steps:

1. Completely turn off your Mac and then turn it on to restart it. (Don't skip this step.)
2. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
3. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Touch ID & Password.
4. Turn off all of the features, then turn all of them back on again.
5. Go back to 1Password and choose 1Password > Settings from the menu bar.
6. Click the Security icon, then turn on "Touch ID".
7. Lock 1Password by choosing 1Password > Lock from the menu bar.
8. Now try unlocking 1Password using Touch ID.

If that doesn't work, or if you can't unlock the Mac itself using Touch ID, then let me know.

I believe I have found my issue. It appears that with Sequoia, the response of Touch ID is significantly reduced from previous versions of MacOS. I don't know if this is an Apple issue, a 1Password issue, neither or both. All I know is from a user perspective, the delay between placing a finger on the Apple Keyboard and either a website getting password info or logging in to my computer, what use to take milliseconds now visibly takes seconds. Lots of seconds. Speaking as an engineer, knowing my Mac went from perhaps 0.1 second to about 3 - 5 seconds on average, this is a slowdown of perhaps 30x - 50x. That's a lot. I cannot tell you what the root cause for this issue but it is annoying to say in the least.

It sounds like you're seeing this delay with Touch ID wherever you use it, not just 1Password. Is that correct or did I misunderstand? If I understood correctly, and you're seeing the delay even when using Touch ID to unlock your Mac itself, then I would recommend reaching out to Apple so that they can help resolve the issue: Official Apple Support

If Apple does help you to resolve the issue when using Touch ID to unlock your Mac (and other apps) but you still see the issue with 1Password then let me know and I can help further.
