Touch ID greyed out - forced to use master pwd

Noted that I'm not the only 1 on this forum, but the previous discussions went closed - same situation here:

My macbook is requiring me to sign in to 1password every time I use it. In fact In settings - Touch ID is greyed out to in between 2 week intervals of using a password. This used to work well but this new behavior has been going on for some time now (maybe latest version issue). I note there have been 2 issues on this forum right before me
