Question

Touch ID log in reverts to pw log in everytime - tried all the previous fixes.

I get this message every-time I try to log with Touch ID. No matter whether the App or Browser etxn.

I have tried every single fix and workaround I could find posted - here - reddit - you name it, including signing out of iCloud, removing the App, all extensions, removing all fingerprints, turning off Touch ID inside System settings, then restarting adding them all back, then signing in and downloading 1PW 8 from your website, then adding in extensions, then restarting, then logging into 1PW using the PW.

Every-time I lock 1 pw - if I get the option to sign in via Touch - straight away defaults to the above message.

Touch ID worked fine in Monteray until a week or so ago. I even upgraded to Sonoma to see if it would assist.

Nada. Niente. Nulla. Zip, Zero, Zilch.

I noticed in Sonoma - unlike Monteray - there is no "enable 1Password" toggle inside System Systems/TouchID.

Person ID is the same at "501'.

So - this has to be a common thing.

Support?

Hello @tomato_1! 👋

I'm sorry that you're unable to unlock 1Password using Touch ID. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

With your email please include:

Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
