Touch ID not working anymore

When I try to unlock 1Password via Touch ID on my MacBook Pro (14", M2 Max) running macOS Sonoma 14.5, I get a "That didn't work Check your password and try again." message.

I've already tried :

  • restarting the device and completely
  • disabling and re-enabling all Touch ID options under the macOS "Touch ID & Password" system settings
  • Re-enabling "Touch ID" under 1Password's "Security" settings tab.

Nothing changes

Please note that unlocking the device itself and all other applications with Touch ID works, unlocking 1Password via Apple Watch seems to work as well.

1Password Version: 8.10.36
