Travelling with Documents

Hi,

I understand that all the losing and password entries in my vault will be available to me even without access to the internet but is this the case for secure documents?

For example, I have a copy of my passport in 1Password as a secure document, is there a way to make sure I can always access it?

Thank you for your help.

Great question. I have the same question with other docs as well.

Hello @iwaddo and @kvozel! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! If you have the 1Password app installed on your device, then you'll be able to view a document/file even if you're offline as long as you've viewed that file before on that device so that the 1Password app can cache it locally.

You can test this out by viewing a file in the 1Password for iOS app and switching to Airplane mode and confirming that you can still view that file even when offline.

I hope that helps.

@1P_Dave

Thank you, I am sure this works but it is not very practical. It would be much better if there was a way to have documents marked as 'keep downloaded' like iCloud Drive for example. A tag would be a great way to do this.

The current solution requires me to know in advance, remember if I update a document to download it once and of course who knows under what circumstances 1Password cache might get cleared.

Thank you for your help.

@iwaddo

Thanks you for the feedback. I can see how a "keep downloaded" option would be useful and I've filed a feature request on your behalf with our product team.
