Turn Off Dialogs

I use Google for work and sign in with google frequently. I'm very tired of having to constantly close the "Save in 1Password" dialogs. I DON'T WANT TO. I even get the dialogs if I turn off the main "Offer to fill and save passwords" setting. The only way to stop them seems to be to uninstall the browser extension.

FYI - The option to turn off the Google integration that seems to work for other users does not appear to exist for Firefox (actually I'm using LibreWolf).

I'm pretty close to uninstalling the extension. And without a browser integration, I don't see why I would continue to use (or pay for) 1Password.

Hello @ghjm! 👋

I'm sorry that a prompt is getting in the way. Are you referring to a sign-in with prompt like the following:

If you are then you can turn this off by following these steps:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
  3. Click Autofill & save.
  4. Turn off Offer to save "sign in with" logins.

Let me know if these steps don't work or if I misunderstood which prompt you're seeing.

OK, I failed at reading comprehension.

There is a divider in the settings after which it asks where you want to store things (see below). For what ever reason, I just assumed that the rest of the settings were related to where things are stored. Sorry for the bother.

Not for nothing, it would be pretty easy to re-arrange the settings to make them more clear. Further, adding a "?" button to the dialogs might help users to find this quicker.

Thank you for the feedback! I can see how that particular settings page could be made clearer, I'm sorry for the confusion. I've shared your comments with the team internally.
