Two Sites - Two IDs - One Password

I use two different web sites where one uses an e-mail address such as noname@nosite.com and the other just uses noname.  They share an ID database so they share the same password and there is no way to change this as I'm just a user, not a developer or administrator.

Is there a way to save the login information in 1Password so that I don't have to remember to generate a new password for one then manually update the other entry?

Thanks for the help.

Hello @EdDav! 👋

Thanks for the question! There a couple different options that you can choose:

  • You can add both website addresses to the same Login item. Then leave the default username space blank and add two custom text fields for the usernames associated with both websites. 1Password will fill your password on either website and then you can drag and drop the username for the appropriate website from the pop-over window.
  • You can keep two different Login items (one for each website) but link them together so that you're reminded to update the password in the linked item: Link related items in 1Password

I hope that helps.
