Question

Two users, same laptop

I am the family manager: Recently, while traveling with my laptop, my husband tried to access his 1PW Acct but 1PW wouldn’t accept his password. Do I have to install two 1PW to enable him to sign in using my laptop? He enabled a passkey for a business item, could that be a problem?

Hello @LindaY! 👋

Thanks for the question! Was your husband trying to access his account in the 1Password desktop app on your laptop? Or using 1Password.com in the browser?

If he was trying to access the 1Password app, and you’re both members of the same 1Password Families membership and using the same Windows user profile, then the desktop app can only be used by one family member at a time when using the same user profile on the same laptop. I would recommend creating a user profile for your husband, on your laptop, so that we can setup the app with his 1Password account there: Manage User Accounts in Windows

If I misunderstood the situation then let me know.
