Question

UGOS UGreen NAS MFA

Hi 1Password community,

I've just got myself a second NAS system from UGreen, which runs UGOS.

I notice 1Password doesn't properly input the MFA code when prompted, and I have to manually copy and paste it into the UI when log into my UGreen NAS.

When it tries to auto-paste the code - it seems to only input one number of the 6-digit code. A manual copy paste works though.

UGOS is fairly new, so I understand it may not work for auto-login right away.

it works on my Synology NAS for the MFA code auto-input - but not the UGreen NAS.

Thought I'd mention it for a future fix!

Hello @tomatoandcake! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password isn't filling your one-time password into your NAS system. So that we can get this fixed, could you please send the page structure of the webpage in question to our support team? Follow these steps:

  1. Open the website in question until you can see the one-time password field that you're referring to.
  2. Right-click on the page and click "1Password - Password Manager" > Help > Collect Page Structure.

Attach the resulting JSON file to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

With your email please include:

  • A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/ugos-ugreen-nas-mfa/159940
  • Your forum username: tomatoandcake
  • A link to the affected webpage.
  • Please do not post the file here on the forum.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

Hi @1P_Dave ,

I'd love to help, however I moved my new UGREEN NAS to TrueNAS instead and unfortunately didn't make a boot drive for UGOS to revert it back to.

No worries! We'll keep an eye out for further reports so that we can collect this information for our development team. 🙂

Hi team,

We recently starting rolling out UGREEN storage devices at work and the OTP auto-fill feature doesn't work correctly. The user/password autofill and auto-submit works, but then the extension doesn't correctly autofill on the subsequent OTP page. It ends up looking like this.

From the basic testing I could do, it seems like it correctly fills only the last digit of the OTP. The first five boxes are left blank. Interestingly, we did not have this issue with our Synology devices.

Tested in Perplexity Comet (latest version) and Microsoft Edge 140.0.3485.81 (Windows 11 24H2).

1P extension version 81110037 STABLE for Edge. I didn't check the version on the Comet extension yet, but if we can supply any other diagnostic info, happy to assist. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reporting the issue! Would you be able to send in the page structure of the page in your screenshot so that we can get this fixed? You can find instructions here

Ciao @1P_Dave 👋
I have also had this problem for some time, but due to a lack of time and motivation, I never reported the issue here in the community.

Considering that the problem still exists, I sent an email to support with the JSON file obtained from the problematic page and included links and usernames as you requested. What I cannot do is provide direct public access to the page. If necessary to resolve the issue, I can arrange for you to access the page provided I know the source IP address and can open direct access to the page for you.

Here is the code I received from BitBot: GDM-93285-161

Thanks!
