Unable to login with iOS App, Crashes when I scan QR code

I'm all setup but when I try to login with the iOS app, when I scan the QR code, the app immediately crashes. 

Is there a known issue or workaround? All I did was download the app and open it.

I took the info both from the emergency kit, and also from the account under "Get the Apps". I tried scanning the QR code there too and it crashed.

iPhone 13 mini with IOS 18.1.1.

Edit: removed the second part of my question where manual login wasn't working, it's because I had the last character of the password wrong. So the scanning doesn't affect me any more but thought I'd keep the question here for any good workarounds or reporting.

Hello folks! 

Our developers have released a fix for an issue where scanning a QR code using the 1Password for iOS would result in the app crashing. Please update to version 8.10.62: How to keep 1Password up to date

If you still find that the 1Password app crashes even after updating then let me know and I can help further.

Just came across the same problem for iOS when scanning the QR code, but the same QR code works when scanned using an Android device. Ive tried multiple QR codes from different accounts and it still crashes them. - iPhone 15 - iOS 18.1.1

I'm sorry that the 1Password for iOS app is crashing when you try to scan a QR code to add your 1Password account to the app. This is a known issue that our development team is currently working on a fix for. When the fix is released you'll see it noted in our release notes: 1Password Releases

For the time being, adding your 1Password account manually by typing in your account information is the best workaround.

    Hey @1P_Dave is there any update on this - we have users who can't sign into the mobile app on IOS using this workaround because they aren't prompted for their Entra credentials (it always asks them for a secret key even though they don't have one).  Thanks,

      This worked on my iphone now, it didn't work when I posted the question but after a new version was released it worked as the accepted solution said.
