Unable to scan QR code from the Microsoft website

I was able to solve the issue. When you get your authenticator code from MS (maybe others) for MFA you need to select "I want to use a different authenticator app". Select that and the QR code works.

The MS Authenticator QR code by default does not work on 1pass8 and Mac M3.
