Unconceal concealed fields when editing in 1Password 8

Doing a follow up on Miker417's post in 2022.
Indeed, even though the Settings option under Concealed Fields Always show passwords and full credit card numbers is checked, passwords are still ALWAYS concealed when editing a card, and this is very counter intuitive. Is there any solution in the pipe yet?

Hello @johnnygoodface! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. There's currently a bug where this setting won't apply to the edit view. It's in our developer's backlog to address in the future and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. For now, if you click on the password field while in the edit view then the password will be revealed.

I've let our development team know that you'd like to see a fix as well.

@johnnygoodface

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Our developers have released a fix for the issue in the latest version of 1Password:

Concealed fields (like password and credit card) are now shown in edit mode when “Always show passwords and full credit card numbers” is turned on in Settings > Security.

Please update to version 8.10.58 or later: How to keep 1Password up to date
