UniFi 2FA Automatic Filling Fail

Hello,

I did some research and found people with the same issues but couldn't resolve my problem. Basically, when I log in to UniFi, the autofill works as expected BUT the 2FA is not working. If I copy and paste the code, then it works. Anybody dealing with the same issue? I tried deleting all the browser hostory including literally everything but it does not work. I have the same issue with Chrome and Edge. I have attached the printscreen. It used to work before but for some reason stopped a few weeks ago. Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @idscomm,

The behaviour you're experiencing with UniFi, where 2FA autofill doesn't work but copying and pasting does, is a known issue that our team is actively investigating.

I've added your case to the internal issue, and I'm sorry for the disruption this is causing.

As a workaround until a fix is available, some affected users have reported that deleting and re-entering the last character of the OTP allows it to be accepted - or you can continue to copy and paste the OTP instead, although I understand that neither of these are ideal.

If you have any further questions or concerns, let me know.

Thank you very much for the update. Glad to see the issue is not on my side since I tried pretty much everything including removing and reactivating my 2FA with a new code.

I will wait for an update, in the meantime I will try deleting and reentering the last digit of the sequence.

thanks again.

I'm experiencing the same here.
Deleting the last digit and re-entering it manually works around the issue for me.

Hi @sk_it, I'm sorry to hear that you're running into the same issue, though it's good to know that the suggested workaround helps. I've added your case to the internal issue.

Quick follow-up: there was an update for Ubiquiti UniFi OS to v5.1.19 yesterday(?) which has solved the issue for me.

I also got the UniFi OS upgrade to 5.1.19 two days ago, but the problem persists for me.

I am using 1Password for Windows 8.12.24 (81224034) and the 8.12.22.17 extension for Chrome.

It seems the latest Unifi OS has fixed the issue… so maybe the bug was on their side?
